Sikkim : New Destination to Explore

Sikkim, an erstwhile Himalayan kingdom, acceded to the Indian Union in 1957. Located in the Himalayas, it is wedged in between the kingdoms of Nepal in the west, Bhutan in the east and The People's Republic of China to the north. The greater Himalayas form natural boundary with Tibet. Mount Kanchanjunga (8,545) the third highest peak in the world, runs north to south separating Sikkim from Nepal. The Teesta and Rangeet rivers also offer the thrill of rafting and fishing.
