DAY 01 :: KATHMANDU (1300) – ZHANGMU (2500M)/NYALAM (3700M): 123 KM/156 KM(B)

Early morning gather in departure point and proceed to Nyalam. Breakfast en route in Dhulikhel. Scenic drive to KODARI (Nepal – Tibet border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and after necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, drive further NYALAM. Overnight in hotel. 

DAY 02 ::NYALAM – TINGRI (4300M)/LHATSE (4350M): 244 KM(B)

Day drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world crossing over LALUNGLA (5050M), from where, weather permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including MT CHO OYU (8201M) & MT XISHAPAGMA (8012M) but dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, one can enjoy the magnificence of MT. EVEREST (8848M). Overnight in LHATSE.

DAY 03 :: LHATSE – XIGATSE (3900M): 244 KM(B)

Continue scenic drive crossing over GYATCHU LA (5220M), the highest pass en route to LHASA via LHATSE from where a road to MT KAILASH bifurcates to the west. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 04 :: SHIGATSE – GYANTSE (3950M): 90 KM(B)

Morning sightseeing to the PANCHEN LAME’S TASHILHUMPU MONASTERY. Drive to GYANTSE and visit to the KHMBUM STUPA & PHALKOR MONASTERY. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 05::GYANTSE – LHASA (3650M): 261 KM(B)

Full day picturesque drive crossing over KAROLA (5100M) KAMBALA (4794M) colourful YAMDROK LAKE and the Tibetan lifeline river BRAHMA PUTRA (YARLUNG TSANGPO) – Overnight in hotel.

Day 06            :Explore Lhasa (B)

Visit Potala palace- gold roofed palace built in the time of fifth Dalai Lama. And explore Jorkhang temple- spiritual center of Tibet founded in 7th century by the King songtsen Gompo and then continue to Barkhor- a colorful market. Finally vivit Norbu Lingkha the summer palace of Dalai lama. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07:           Explore Lhasa (B)

Excurssion tour to Drepung- is the largest monastery in Tibet which was founded in 1416. Then continue to Sera Monastery- one of the great institution of Gelugpa Sect. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 08 ::  LHASA – KATHMANDU(B)

Early morning drive to GONGGAR airport for departure flight to KATHMANDU .
